The Löyly & Jää sauna is wood-fired and reaches extremely high temperatures. To ensure your safety and the comfort of others, please follow proper sauna etiquette at all times.
Before Entering the Sauna:
Make sure you're clean. Use the onsite showers if necessary - this helps keep the sauna hygienic and prepares your body by opening your pores and relaxing your muscles.
Stay well-hydrated. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your sauna session.
Remove all jewellery to avoid burns - metal heats quickly in the sauna.
Bring a towel to sit on for hygiene and comfort.
Inside the Sauna:
Do not touch the stove, stove door, chimney flue, sauna rocks, or any surrounding fire guards - they are extremely hot and will cause burns.
Enter and exit carefully, always closing the door behind you to maintain the temperature.
Limit your time inside to a maximum of 20 minutes per session, unless you're an experienced sauna user. We recommend 10–15 minute sessions.
Do not add your own essential oils to the stove or anywhere inside the sauna.
Swimwear must be worn at all times - nudity is not permitted.
Be respectful of others' space and privacy.
Pouring Water on the Rocks:
Be considerate of others in the sauna.
Pour water slowly and start from the rocks furthest away from you to avoid being scalded by the Löyly (steam).

The on-site natural lake and cold-plunge facilities provided are designed for cold water immersion therapy, offering a refreshing contrast to the heat of the sauna. While beneficial, cold water immersion does carry potential health risks, including (but not limited to) hypothermia, shock, and injury.
Please be aware: the plunge pools are roughly the same temperature as the surrounding air and can be especially cold during winter. Use of our cold-plunge facilities is at your own risk. The lake is not supervised and we don’t have lifeguards on duty. Life rings are available for emergency use. Using the swimming lake is entirely at your own risk.
Before Using the Plunge Pools:
Shower first - this helps your body adjust gradually and keeps the water clean for everyone.
During Use:
If you’re new to cold water immersion, limit your time to 30 seconds to 5 minutes, and gradually build up over time.
Exit immediately and slowly if you:
Feel dizzy or unwell
Begin to shiver excessively
Experience extreme discomfort
Always enter and exit with care, using the non-slip matting provided to avoid slips or injury.
